Spectators: 7431 (Terracing: 5574, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tobias Clifford started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Brandon Hammond notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of The Knights's Gerald Bonner. Gerald Bonner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Nephi AFC. Ron Cassidy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gerald Bonner. 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Tobias Clifford kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bradley McLain. That made the score 1-2 in the 14 minute of play. Kerry Marino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerald Bonner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lee Mendoza in the 23rd minute of play. Tobias Clifford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rudy Rudd took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bradley McLain. Bradley McLain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Rex Calderwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bradley McLain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, The Knights's Devin Combs got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brandon Hammond made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Tobias Clifford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Knights's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Clifford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Brandon Hammond got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerald Bonner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kerry Marino in the 60th minute. Bradley McLain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Downey, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Lee Mendoza fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nephi AFC's protests and gave Lee Mendoza a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Nephi AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Lee Mendoza hit a great ball. Bradley McLain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Clifford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobias Clifford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bradley McLain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradley McLain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Clifford in the 76th minute of the match. Rudy Rudd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Brandon Hammond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bradley McLain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Rudd in the 84th minute of play. Tobias Clifford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rudy Rudd took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bradley McLain. Bradley McLain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Brendon Downey hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. If Brandon Hammond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Knights fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nephi AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
