In the 7th minute, Diego Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Northwest Harborcreek AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Alford came free, but Charlton Bassett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kris Rosen in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charlton Bassett saved Northwest Harborcreek AFC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mario Alford sped through Northwest Harborcreek AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Charlton Bassett. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by German Lynn during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Wilkinson Heights booed when Northwest Harborcreek AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Lynn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Kris Rosen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charlton Bassett was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Mario Alford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlton Bassett having to interfere. After taking down the ball on Wilkinson Heights's corner Jeremy Reynolds fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Charlton Bassett quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Wilkinson Heights getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Leif Hayes hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Wilkinson Heights's goalkeeper Brad Burrows had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santo George. Mario Alford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Charlton Bassett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Alford was the one to do the kick off. Charlton Bassett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan House, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Mario Alford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Charlton Bassett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brad Burrows took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Wilkinson Heights's Mario Alford in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Northwest Harborcreek AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes into the game, Kris Rosen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Charlton Bassett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santo George sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 77 minutes, Darren Serrano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Northwest Harborcreek AFC and the Wilkinson Heights players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Northwest Harborcreek AFC's Darren Serrano got a free kick in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wilkinson Heights's zone, Diego Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brad Burrows came out of the goal and Diego Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After recieving a nice pass, Northwest Harborcreek AFC's Rufus Laws tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Charlton Bassett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Alford in the 89th minute of play. Kris Rosen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charlton Bassett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. German Lynn was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 95th match minute, Northwest Harborcreek AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Lynn to maneuver through the defense. If Mario Alford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Wilkinson Heights had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
