Cruz Carpenter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alistair Burgess in the 33rd minute of play forced Garra y Punta's goalkeeper Gary Bowers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Garra y Punta's goal looked a bit too open when Alistair Burgess came free, but Gary Bowers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alistair Burgess stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Roanoke's Thad Seay got control of the ball when Cruz Carpenter tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cruz Carpenter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maxwell Clarke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Roanoke's zone, Maxwell Clarke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thad Seay came out of the goal and Maxwell Clarke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Alistair Burgess who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garra y Punta's Gary Bowers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cruz Carpenter came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Thad Seay could save by the left post. In the 84th minute, Ron Craven ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gary Bowers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 88thth minute of the game Alistair Burgess who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garra y Punta's Gary Bowers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maxwell Clarke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thad Seay having to interfere. In the 92nd of the match, Maxwell Clarke tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Thad Seay got in the way and made a wonderful save. The supporters of Roanoke booed when Garra y Punta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephen Pugh didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Roanoke's Hugh Weeks broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
