Garret Hinds showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tod Ortega in the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cassius Clay AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Houston Brewer was slow to take the kick. During this time Super United's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Tod Ortega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Super United's supporters rose to their feet, but Tod Ortega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garret Hinds breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Super United's Corey Frost in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Ortega in the 16th minute of play forced Cassius Clay AFC's goalkeeper Garret Hinds to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tod Ortega struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Garret Hinds didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Super United. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Ortega in the 27th minute of play forced Cassius Clay AFC's goalkeeper Garret Hinds to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tod Ortega took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garret Hinds. Garret Hinds dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Super United's Cristopher Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hal Key in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Super United booed when Cassius Clay AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hal Key didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kenny Davidson hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half Super United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jayson Finn to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Glenn Mobley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roosevelt Pace received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Garret Hinds tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tod Ortega got free with Garret Hinds in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 64 played minutes Cassius Clay AFC got a freekick which was hit by Chris Garland. Tod Ortega might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Garret Hinds. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tod Ortega ran back to his position shaking his head. 73 minutes into the match, Cassius Clay AFC's goalkeeper Garret Hinds had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glenn Mobley. The supporters of Cassius Clay AFC booed when Super United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roosevelt Pace didn't get a good kick on the ball.
