Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Ed Bradshaw had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Homer Small. Ball FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ed Bradshaw was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 8th minute, Barry Zeigler reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bryan Bloom. The goal made the score 1-1. Ball FC's Barry Zeigler got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 14 minutes of play, Sells FC's Woody Finney made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Homer Small was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 26 played minutes, Sells FC's Vincent Rich shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Homer Small came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sells FC reached it. Everett Wray's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Bryan Bloom skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 34 minutes into the match, Woody Finney notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Ball FC's Homer Small. Homer Small was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Domenic Edmondson charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domenic Edmondson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wallace Fields sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vincenzo Parra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Bryan Bloom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Homer Small showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wallace Fields in the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wallace Fields to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Everett Wray during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ed Bradshaw's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Homer Small firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wallace Bell got free with Homer Small in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Sells FC's Wallace Fields ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Homer Small. Homer Small yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Homer Small took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenic Edmondson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ball FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Andrew Crabtree hit a great ball. After 82 played minutes Wallace Fields rounded Ball FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-6. In the 88th minute, Thurman Dolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Ed Bradshaw could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Homer Small however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Ball FC's zone, Wallace Fields stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Homer Small came out of the goal and Wallace Fields tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Andrew Crabtree came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Ball FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrew Crabtree couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes into the match, Sells FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vincenzo Parra came free, but Bryan Bloom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
