If Benito Conley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alan Fletcher in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boyd Keen saved El Cajon FC from getting behind. Benito Conley scored 0-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boyd Keen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Boyd Keen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Conley in the 30th minute of the match. The El Cajon FC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when El Cajon FC's Salvador Guzman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
