Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bobby Knapp started the match with the kick off. Genaro Gold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bobby Knapp in the 3rd minute of the match. Elijah Coulter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genaro Gold having to make a save. In the 8th minute, Davis Romo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Conley was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Davis Romo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Genaro Gold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elijah Coulter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremy Diggs got free with Ismael Conley in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davis Romo in the 20th minute of play forced Rock Rapids's goalkeeper Ismael Conley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Gold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bobby Knapp in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Peter Gipson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ukiah's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rock Rapids the free kick. The supporters of Rock Rapids booed when Ukiah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Gipson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elijah Coulter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes of play, Rock Rapids's Bobby Knapp made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genaro Gold was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rock Rapids's Elijah Coulter got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 41 minutes, Davis Romo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ukiah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davis Romo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davis Romo was the one to do the kick off. Jeremy Diggs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute, Elijah Coulter fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Genaro Gold, passed just outside the right post. Ukiah's Genaro Gold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Knapp in the 67th minute of play. Elijah Coulter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 73 minutes, Jeremy Diggs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ukiah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremy Diggs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Elijah Coulter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davis Romo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, Ukiah's Davis Romo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ismael Conley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. If Davis Romo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Rock Rapids getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Eusebio Albright hit a great ball. In the 95th match minute, Ukiah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremy Diggs to maneuver through the defense. Ukiah's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
