Mono Vista AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Travis McKinney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Chase Macias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Austin Reyna was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Hector Dillon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Glenn Singh having to make a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lovell AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mono Vista AFC.
