Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alexander City's Joe Dozier started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jerrod Wolff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Ned Colvin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Alexander City's Kirby Hartley didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Alexander City's Kirby Hartley got control of the ball when Roberto Graham tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jerrod Wolff kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kirby Hartley. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. If Chance MacMillan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Luciano McCray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kirby Hartley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chance MacMillan in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Roberto Graham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alden's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Graham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirby Hartley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaiah Gillis struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Kirby Hartley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alden. Alden's Luciano McCray got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luciano McCray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kirby Hartley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alexander City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ned Colvin was slow to take the kick. During this time Alden's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Alden's corner Ned Colvin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kirby Hartley quite easily take care of the ball. If Roberto Graham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Luciano McCray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano McCray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luciano McCray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chance MacMillan to make the kick off. Alexander City's Kirby Hartley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Graham in the 53rd minute of play. Luciano McCray took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kirby Hartley. Kirby Hartley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Isaiah Gillis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Kirby Hartley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Graham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaiah Gillis in the 65th minute of play forced Alexander City's goalkeeper Kirby Hartley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kirby Hartley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaiah Gillis went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. If Luciano McCray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerrod Wolff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Kirby Hartley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88thth minute of the game Isaiah Gillis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alexander City's Kirby Hartley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kirby Hartley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chance MacMillan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano McCray struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Kirby Hartley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alden. Jesus Shields hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Alden were the better team. Alden's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
