Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cobi Thomason took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cobi Thomason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Temple recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cobi Thomason in the 8th minute of play forced Willow Grove's goalkeeper Johnnie Conklin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timothy Vilter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spencer Clemons recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Willow Grove defense, Robert Temple kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnnie Conklin. The Willow Grove fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnnie Conklin should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Willow Grove's Spencer Clemons sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wally Gann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 21 minutes, Cobi Thomason managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chamblee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cobi Thomason was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Temple struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Johnnie Conklin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chamblee. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Spencer Clemons managed to get in a good position for a shot. Willow Grove's supporters rose to their feet, but Spencer Clemons was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wally Gann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, Cobi Thomason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Colin Whitfield hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Shawn Huang was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 44th minute Spencer Clemons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Gann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 53rd minute, Timothy Vilter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Spencer Clemons's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wally Gann was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. When Osvaldo Manning fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chamblee's protests and gave Osvaldo Manning a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Chamblee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Manning to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Manning hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute of the match Del Reyna sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wally Gann skillfully saved the ball. Cobi Thomason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnnie Conklin having to interfere. Timothy Vilter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Wally Gann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wally Gann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Spencer Clemons's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Johnnie Conklin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cobi Thomason, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dustin Washington in the 86th minute of play forced Willow Grove's goalkeeper Johnnie Conklin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Spencer Clemons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes in the game, Spencer Clemons fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wally Gann having to interfere. Timothy Vilter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Willow Grove's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
