Eliseo Louis charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Louis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to kartal1881 getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. A wasted opportunity for Cuero AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Willie Cain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuero AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Willie Cain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darrel Guerrero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johnny Jennings didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lyle Parson went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 20th minute Lyle Parson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Jennings saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tommie Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored kartal1881's protests and gave Tommie Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to kartal1881 getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tommie Rubio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cuero AFC's zone, Benny Ewing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Jennings came out of the goal and Benny Ewing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cuero AFC's Johnny Jennings played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benny Ewing in the 27th minute of play. If Benny Ewing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Lyle Parson made a precise shot to the right of Johnny Jennings. Cuero AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Cuero AFC's Johnny Jennings played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benny Ewing in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind kartal1881's goalkeeper Darrel Guerrero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lyle Parson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Jennings having to interfere. After the first half kartal1881 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rex Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Cuero AFC booed when kartal1881 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregg Annan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benny Ewing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cuero AFC's zone, Lyle Parson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Jennings came out of the goal and Lyle Parson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Cuero AFC's goalkeeper Johnny Jennings had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lyle Parson. The crowd rose to their feet as Benny Ewing kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Johnny Jennings. That made the score 1-5 in the 72 minute of play. 1-6 became the score in the 77th minute when Lyle Parson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Johnny Jennings made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Solomon Crowe sent off a good shot on target. Cuero AFC's Johnny Jennings proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Cuero AFC from getting a goal against them. Lyle Parson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Johnny Jennings made a huge save. After 86 played minutes Cuero AFC got a freekick which was hit by Loren Whittaker. In the 89th minute of the match kartal1881 got a corner. Cuero AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gregg Annan ran over to the corner to take the kick. 2-7 became the score in the 92nd minute when Willie Cain elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Darrel Guerrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rex Byrne in the 96th minute of the match. Darrel Guerrero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willie Cain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. kartal1881's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
