Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dennis Horton made the kick off which started today's match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris McFadden got free with Robby Mills in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Pekin FC's Titus Crowder got a free kick in the 6th minute. Oren Matthews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damon Bateman in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oren Matthews in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julian Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd match minute, SCORPIO 1990 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Love to maneuver through the defense. Kerry Gallagher was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Robby Mills made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Horton in the 25th minute of play. Chris McFadden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Robby Mills made a huge save. 28 minutes into the game, Dennis Horton lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Robby Mills. Chris McFadden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Robby Mills tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chris McFadden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Robby Mills made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Dennis Horton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pekin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Horton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robby Mills breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chris McFadden came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Robby Mills could save by the left post. In the 41st minute, Dennis Horton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chris McFadden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oren Matthews stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chris McFadden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Robby Mills tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oren Matthews in the 56th minute of play forced Pekin FC's goalkeeper Julian Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the SCORPIO 1990 defense, Chris McFadden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robby Mills. The SCORPIO 1990 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robby Mills should have stopped the shot. Chris McFadden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robby Mills having to interfere. Damon Bateman struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Julian Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SCORPIO 1990. Robby Mills made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris McFadden in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SCORPIO 1990's zone, Dennis Horton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robby Mills came out of the goal and Dennis Horton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pekin FC had played much better football throughout.
