Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Manhasset Hills's Brendon LeBlanc started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Steven Russell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nathaniel Faulk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Colin Hearn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Sterling Calloway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ray Chu hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Manhasset Hills's Parker Joyner was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sterling Calloway in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 13 minutes, Steven Russell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erlanger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steven Russell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute Brendon LeBlanc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sterling Calloway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sterling Calloway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon LeBlanc in the 21st minute of play. When Bobby Porter, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 26 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nathaniel Faulk was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Roscoe Walton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steven Russell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 minutes of play Manhasset Hills's Roscoe Walton was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 37 played minutes Manhasset Hills got a freekick which was hit by Roscoe Walton. After 41 played minutes Manhasset Hills got a freekick which was hit by Brendon LeBlanc. After a rather tough play, Erlanger's Richie Pool got a free kick in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Erlanger's zone, Parker Joyner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sterling Calloway came out of the goal and Parker Joyner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colin Hearn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Sterling Calloway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steven Russell was the one to do the kick off. Denis Combs hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Colin Hearn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sterling Calloway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Dirk Grier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brendon LeBlanc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erlanger's Sterling Calloway proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Erlanger from getting a goal against them. If Dirk Grier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathaniel Faulk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bobby Porter's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Sterling Calloway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon LeBlanc in the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, Erlanger's Sterling Calloway got control of the ball when Brendon LeBlanc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brendon LeBlanc scored 0-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sterling Calloway, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Brendon LeBlanc dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sterling Calloway, 0-2. In the 83rd minute, Brendon LeBlanc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brendon LeBlanc got free with Sterling Calloway in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
