Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) River Road's Kirk Myers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Greenville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kirk Myers came free, but Dan Gage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kirk Myers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jackson Blankenship charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jackson Blankenship the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Greenville FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jackson Blankenship hit a great ball. Rolland LeBlanc was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Kirk Myers kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Kirk Myers came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the River Road fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kirk Myers couldn't finish the play. Marquis Miner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aidan Barnard having to interfere. When Kirk Myers, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 35 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dan Gage was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Marquis Miner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aidan Barnard. River Road's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marquis Miner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 45th of the match, Kirk Myers tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Dan Gage got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 47th minute, Kirk Myers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Gage was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Saunders in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Gage saved Greenville FC from getting behind. Carlos Saunders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Greenville FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Peter Atkinson hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes Greenville FC got a freekick which was hit by Jackson Blankenship. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Carlos Saunders put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dan Gage. Elliot Darden kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Carlos Saunders might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Gage. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Saunders ran back to his position shaking his head. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Greenville FC! Rolland LeBlanc shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Carlos Saunders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Gage having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Greenville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Saunders came free, but Dan Gage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kirk Myers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dan Gage didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Saunders went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Carlos Saunders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Gage having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Kirk Myers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Road's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kirk Myers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Saunders in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Gage prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dan Gage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Myers in the 95th minute of play. River Road's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
