Filiberto Pina started the match with the kick off. Brandon Estrada might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darnell Pendleton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brandon Estrada ran back to his position shaking his head. Filiberto Pina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Shannon having to interfere. If Denver William had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 13 played minutes Yreka got a freekick which was hit by Abdul Schaffer. If Brandon Estrada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Darin Waters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25thth minute of the game Filiberto Pina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea FC's John Shannon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denver William got free with John Shannon in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Yreka booed when Chelsea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Hillman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denver William struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. John Shannon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yreka. In the 38th minute, Leonard Hillman had to leave the field with a concussion. The supporters of Chelsea FC booed when Yreka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orville Coker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Filiberto Pina reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of John Shannon. The goal made the score 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jarvis Ritchie kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Filiberto Pina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of John Shannon. Chelsea FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filiberto Pina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Chelsea FC's Brandon Estrada got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filiberto Pina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. John Shannon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Shannon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filiberto Pina's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. When Brandon Estrada came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Chelsea FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brandon Estrada couldn't finish the play. John Shannon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Pina in the 77th minute of the match. If Filiberto Pina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th match minute, Chelsea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dwayne Cutler to maneuver through the defense. Darnell Pendleton acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jason Spencer. In the 98th minute, Lloyd Clinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yreka's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
