The tension between the Brookside and the Bella Vista players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Newton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Bella Vista getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Milan Dunham hit a great ball. Rob Byers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Damian Newton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Sierra in the 42nd minute of play forced Brookside's goalkeeper Bobby Spivey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorenzo Sierra in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bobby Spivey saved Brookside from getting behind. After 44 played minutes Brookside got a freekick which was hit by Rob Byers. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lorenzo Sierra to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Lorenzo Sierra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bobby Spivey was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 55th match minute, Bella Vista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milan Dunham to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 56 in the game by Zachery Knapp from a close distance when the talented Damian Newton managed to make a qualified save. Bella Vista's players were relieved.
