Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Johnathon Boudreaux started the match with the kick off. Warner Corey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Gunn in the 5th minute of play. Claudio Gunn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Warner Corey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Johnathon Boudreaux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St.Paul FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnathon Boudreaux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Montrose's Claudio Gunn ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Warner Corey. Warner Corey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The supporters of Montrose booed when St.Paul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Saunders didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Montrose's zone, Johnathon Boudreaux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lee Richard came out of the goal and Johnathon Boudreaux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Saunders kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Manuel Moon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cedric Numbers during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for St.Paul FC! If Johnathon Boudreaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudio Gunn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edward Arnold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Lee Richard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lee Richard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnathon Boudreaux in the 56th minute of the match. Warner Corey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Moon's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Warner Corey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Moon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lee Richard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnathon Boudreaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Manuel Moon notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of St.Paul FC's Warner Corey. Warner Corey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edward Arnold recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 minutes, Dwayne Koenig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montrose and the St.Paul FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dwayne Koenig kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Montrose's Claudio Gunn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Warner Corey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ezra Espinoza's late challenge caught a St.Paul FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezra Espinoza helped the player get up and apologised. 88 minutes into the match, St.Paul FC's Olin Rooney broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Edward Arnold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, St.Paul FC's Lee Richard threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Johnathon Boudreaux, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Montrose were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of St.Paul FC for a fine match.
