After some careless play in the Waynesburg AFC defense, Brendan Whitmore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Woodrow MacKenzie. The Waynesburg AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Woodrow MacKenzie should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Whaley in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Woodrow MacKenzie saved Waynesburg AFC from getting behind. After 22 minutes, Monty Land mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Commack and the Waynesburg AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicholas Garland's late challenge caught a Waynesburg AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicholas Garland helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Commack's Nicholas Garland got a free kick in the 29th minute. Brendan Whitmore struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Woodrow MacKenzie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Commack. Waynesburg AFC's Justin Huang got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Brendan Whitmore came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Commack fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendan Whitmore couldn't finish the play.

52 minutes into the match, Justin Huang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eddie Talbot. Commack's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Justin Huang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of Commack booed when Waynesburg AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timothy Delong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brendan Whitmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Woodrow MacKenzie having to interfere. Leon Whaley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Woodrow MacKenzie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justin Huang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Eddie Talbot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Brendan Whitmore made a precise shot to the right of Woodrow MacKenzie. Waynesburg AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Eddie Talbot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justin Huang's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Eddie Talbot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Humphrey in the 81st minute of the match. Brendan Whitmore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Commack's Leon Whaley in the 87th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Woodrow MacKenzie was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Waynesburg AFC through an amazing save. In the 88th match minute, Waynesburg AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Delong to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Brendan Whitmore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leon Whaley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Waynesburg AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Commack were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
