When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Gee made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Dos Palos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohammad Mahoney to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dos Palos's goalkeeper Emery Miller, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcellus Teague kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Tracey Escobar's late challenge caught a Highwood's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tracey Escobar helped the player get up and apologised. Highwood's Joaquin Orozco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tracey Escobar in the 72nd minute of play. If Maxwell Dickerson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdul Langford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
