After a rather tough play, Wingate's Santos Williamson got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Jasper Kyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the match, Damian Lusk notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Wingate's Rufus Patten. Rufus Patten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Darin Roberts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Alvarez in the 18th minute of the match. Leland Bernal kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Damian Lusk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rufus Patten was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Damian Lusk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Patten having to interfere. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wingate's goalkeeper Rufus Patten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jasper Kyle might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rufus Patten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jasper Kyle ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 66 in the game by Jasper Kyle from a close distance when the talented Rufus Patten managed to make a qualified save. Wingate's players were relieved. 68 minutes into the game, Berwick AFC's Jasper Kyle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rufus Patten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Rufus Patten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Lusk in the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Damian Lusk fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rufus Patten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Lusk in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Jasper Kyle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Berwick AFC's Damian Lusk in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wingate's goalie prevented a goal. When the match was over Berwick AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Wingate throughout the match.
