Moline's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Don Cahill 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 18th minute, Jamel Leon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to RIVERSIDE F.C. getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gary Boyd hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the game, Jamel Leon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alistair Greenwood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zackary Dodson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in RIVERSIDE F.C.'s zone, Jamel Leon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alistair Greenwood came out of the goal and Jamel Leon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zackary Dodson struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Alistair Greenwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moline. Jamel Leon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alistair Greenwood having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Moline's goal looked a bit too open when Don Cahill came free, but Mohammad Palmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Brett Shapiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richie Hooks during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Don Cahill to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Osvaldo Fulton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIVERSIDE F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Fulton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Moline's zone, Don Cahill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohammad Palmer came out of the goal and Don Cahill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute, Donald Cerna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alistair Greenwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamel Leon, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Zackary Dodson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jamel Leon might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alistair Greenwood. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moline's Mohammad Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Fulton in the 90th minute of play. If Jamel Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moline's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
