The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rialto AFC's goalkeeper Elton Vernon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Morris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Varela in the 8th minute of the match. Hera Browncoats FC's Pedro Morris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sherwood Joyce in the 10th minute of play. Sherwood Joyce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Pedro Morris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dominic Shipp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Elton Vernon made a huge save. Elton Vernon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Farr in the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sherwood Joyce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Morris was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Thomas Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hera Browncoats FC's Pedro Morris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Varela in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Hera Browncoats FC's Dominic Shipp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elton Vernon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Carl Proctor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Rialto AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gustavo Larson hit a great ball. After 38 minutes Rialto AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jess Cooley who took care of the corner kick. Jess Cooley was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Hera Browncoats FC defense, Sherwood Joyce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Morris. The Hera Browncoats FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Morris should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Rialto AFC booed when Hera Browncoats FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Proctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Lance Elliot sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Morris skillfully saved the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Farr stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes into the match, Hera Browncoats FC's goalkeeper Pedro Morris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Varela. Thomas Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Dominic Shipp notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Rialto AFC's Elton Vernon. Elton Vernon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Shawn Dupre kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Shipp in the 84th minute of play forced Rialto AFC's goalkeeper Elton Vernon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Sherwood Joyce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rialto AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sherwood Joyce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Felipe Rosales was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rialto AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hera Browncoats FC the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Rialto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Rosales to maneuver through the defense. Hera Browncoats FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jess Cooley in the 98th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jess Cooley got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elton Vernon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Hera Browncoats FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
