In the 15th minute Royce Busch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jermaine Toth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Royce Busch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jermaine Toth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pine Hill fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilbert Curtis should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54th minute, Freddy Barnett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Raymond Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. After 90 played minutes Scotland Neck got a freekick which was hit by Danny Holmes. Royce Busch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jermaine Toth having to make a save. Pine Hill's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
