Patriots New England's 温宽诚 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milo Fair in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Sergio Sarro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roger Darling. Sergio Sarro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. With a little luck, Mims's Roger Darling got control of the ball when Emmitt Denton tried to sneak it across the goal line. 温宽诚 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Hamm in the 28th minute of play. Milo Fair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. 温宽诚 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Patriots New England's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Hamm came free, but 温宽诚 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patriots New England's Emmitt Denton got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Van Nieves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Van Nieves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emmitt Denton to strike the kick off in the second half. Patriots New England's Van Nieves got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Lourenço scored 2-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Darling, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Mims's goal looked a bit too open when Emmitt Denton came free, but Roger Darling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute Philip Bliss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 温宽诚 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Darling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmitt Denton in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Lourenço in the 63rd minute of play forced Mims's goalkeeper Roger Darling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patriots New England's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Tory Myles scored to the left of an out of position 温宽诚, making the score, 2-3. Patriots New England's Van Nieves got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Philip Bliss kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Patriots New England's Emmitt Denton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roger Darling made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Roger Darling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Van Nieves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emmitt Denton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Darling having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Emmitt Denton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Although Patriots New England had been in control for most of the match, Mims still came away with the win.
