Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Oswaldo Crowley made the kick off which started today's match. The audience was convinced that Aaron Toth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ed Mitchell was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 9 minutes into the match, Rex Fritz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Myrtle Grove's Rafael Groves. Rafael Groves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Garret Petersen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Groves having to interfere. Ed Mitchell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Crowley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Myrtle Grove's Rafael Groves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Myrtle Grove from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute, Sergio Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Garret Petersen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafael Groves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garret Petersen in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, one of Myrtle Grove:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Myrtle Grove. When Aaron Toth came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Myrtle Grove fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Toth couldn't finish the play. If Rex Fritz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Myrtle Grove's Rafael Groves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garret Petersen in the 37th minute of play. Rafael Groves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garret Petersen in the 41st minute of the match. Rex Fritz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Rafael Groves made a huge save. Wilfredo Dorsey kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garret Petersen made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Oswaldo Crowley fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ed Mitchell, passed just outside the right post. Rafael Groves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rex Fritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron Toth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Mitchell having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garret Petersen in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Groves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 72 minutes of play, Ladysmith AFC's Rex Fritz made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Groves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafael Groves came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Ladysmith AFC's Rex Fritz. But to his dismay, Rex Fritz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Myrtle Grove's Aaron Toth got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilfredo Dorsey's late challenge caught a Myrtle Grove's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfredo Dorsey helped the player get up and apologised. Wilfredo Dorsey kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Rex Fritz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ladysmith AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rex Fritz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Garret Petersen came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ladysmith AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garret Petersen couldn't finish the play. Rex Fritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Rafael Groves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladysmith AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
