After 47 minutes, Wilbur Clay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Elizario and the Laurel Bay players grew even worse after the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Simon Gray might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jesse Pierre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
