Spectators: 6712 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 0) Brant Dykes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Winterset's Kraig Moses nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marshall Huang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Franklin Goodwin made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Michael Price sent off a good shot on target. Clare's Denver Strange shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Franklin Goodwin but with some difficulty. Zane Whitley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dario Estrada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franklin Goodwin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Price in the 18th minute. Brant Dykes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Goodwin having to interfere. Winterset's Franklin Goodwin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Winterset from getting a goal against them. After 29 played minutes Winterset got a freekick which was hit by Joel Rucker. Franklin Goodwin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Price in the 31st minute. With a little luck, Winterset's Franklin Goodwin got control of the ball when Michael Price tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Clare getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Russell Zapata hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Clare defense, Dario Estrada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marshall Huang. The Clare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marshall Huang should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Clare's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Estrada came free, but Marshall Huang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Winterset's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Brant Dykes scored to the left of an out of position Franklin Goodwin, making the score, 1-2. The Clare players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Winterset were winning 1-2.

After a defensive mix-up in Clare's zone, Dario Estrada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marshall Huang came out of the goal and Dario Estrada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A nice corner shot did that Denver Strange got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Franklin Goodwin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 61 minutes into the match, Clare's Denver Strange broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Winterset's Franklin Goodwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brant Dykes in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Brant Dykes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franklin Goodwin. Winterset's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brant Dykes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After having played for 70 minutes, Brant Dykes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brant Dykes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Kraig Moses hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Marshall Huang managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Winterset's Zane Whitley fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Zane Whitley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Clare's Michael Price in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Winterset's goalie prevented a goal. In the 84th minute, Kraig Moses hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Michael Price came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Clare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Price couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Clare's zone, Dario Estrada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marshall Huang came out of the goal and Dario Estrada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dario Estrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Marshall Huang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
