After 7 played minutes North Attleborough got a freekick which was hit by William Crusher. North Attleborough's J.C. Hays got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th play minute Gerry Woodard came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Derick Swartz. 2-0. J.C. Hays fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derick Swartz having to interfere. Sydney Gallagher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Leonard having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, North Attleborough's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Gallagher came free, but Ed Leonard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. North Attleborough's Ed Leonard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Gallagher in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Big Spring FC's goalkeeper Derick Swartz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerry Woodard. In the 30th minute, Neil Brandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Big Spring FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when J.C. Hays scored to the left of an out of position Derick Swartz, making the score, 3-0. Ed Leonard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Gallagher, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Derick Swartz was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and J.C. Hays capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. J.C. Hays really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sydney Gallagher stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gerry Woodard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derick Swartz having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, North Attleborough's Randell Phipps sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Derick Swartz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gerry Woodard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Derick Swartz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The North Attleborough fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when North Attleborough's J.C. Hays looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 68th minute, Big Spring FC's Sydney Gallagher dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-1. Derick Swartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from J.C. Hays in the 72nd minute of the match. Big Spring FC's Derick Swartz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerry Woodard in the 73rd minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Gerry Woodard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Derick Swartz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Gerry Woodard fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Attleborough's protests and gave Gerry Woodard a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, North Attleborough's Gerry Woodard got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The attack was good, but when J.C. Hays in the 85th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 87 minutes of play, Big Spring FC's Sean Stout made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ed Leonard was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sean Stout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ed Leonard made a huge save. There was no doubt that North Attleborough were the better team. North Attleborough's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
