Spectators: 6710 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lance Vance kicked off to start the match. Curt House fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Driver having to interfere. Mound FC's Cruz Hatcher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lance Vance in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Stokesdale FC booed when Mound FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aidan Masters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donny Cole fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Driver having to interfere. Donny Cole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th match minute, Stokesdale FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Beckman to maneuver through the defense. Mound FC were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Stokesdale FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Phil Crowley took the corner. Stokesdale FC's Anton Driver proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Stokesdale FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Stokesdale FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sammy Beckman hit a great ball. Tony Phipps recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Stokesdale FC's Anton Driver got control of the ball when Donny Cole tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cruz Hatcher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lance Vance, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Lance Vance's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cruz Hatcher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Curt House to strike the kick off in the second half. Anton Driver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donny Cole in the 54th minute of the match. Stokesdale FC's Alan McLeod got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Curt House had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Driver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donny Cole, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Mound FC's Rigoberto Hinton suffered a concussion after 63 minutes and had to leave the field. Trevor Conway kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 69 minutes of play, Stokesdale FC's Tony Phipps made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cruz Hatcher was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cruz Hatcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Vance in the 77th minute of play. Aidan Masters recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stokesdale FC's Alan McLeod got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Lance Vance reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cruz Hatcher. The goal made the score 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stokesdale FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
