Basil Ackerman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Bruno Rocha made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Biagio Scoca put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Andrew Connolly. Andrew Connolly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biagio Scoca in the 10th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Biagio Scoca sped through Northport FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrew Connolly. Basil Ackerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Rocha having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Biagio Scoca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrew Connolly was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Biagio Scoca sped through Northport FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrew Connolly. In the 24th minute, Basil Ackerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Northport FC's Andrew Connolly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Biagio Scoca in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Biagio Scoca made a precise shot to the right of Andrew Connolly. Northport FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After 34th play minutes Biagio Scoca shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Andrew Connolly and just under the crossbar into goal. 38 minutes into the match, Alfonzo Drummond notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Northport FC's Andrew Connolly. Andrew Connolly was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Biagio Scoca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Andrew Connolly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Northport FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Hamilton to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sammy Bullock stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrew Connolly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conrad Hull's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Bruno Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy Bullock in the 53rd minute of the match. Alfonzo Drummond took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andrew Connolly. Andrew Connolly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Andrew Connolly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonzo Drummond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrew Connolly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonzo Drummond in the 70th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Northport FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Biagio Scoca fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Northport FC's Andrew Connolly got control of the ball when Biagio Scoca tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Biagio Scoca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chivas USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Biagio Scoca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Andrew Connolly successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Andrew Connolly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonzo Drummond, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
