Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Garret Hanley started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute of the match Lamoni got a corner. Kentland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Henson ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Allan Cochran heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Wilfred Thome stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Cochran's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Collin Horne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kentland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lamoni the free kick. Wilfred Thome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Cochran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Collin Horne kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Lamoni's Allan Cochran got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Junior Patton kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kentland's zone, Allan Cochran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfred Thome came out of the goal and Allan Cochran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Kentland getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Junior Patton hit a great ball. Allan Cochran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfred Thome having to interfere. Allan Cochran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willard Berger succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 27th playminute. 31 minutes into the match, Kentland's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Cochran came free, but Wilfred Thome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willard Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfred Thome having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kentland's goalkeeper Wilfred Thome, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, one of Lamoni:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lamoni. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allan Cochran made a kick off. Wilfred Thome made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Cochran in the 57th minute of play. Allan Cochran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willard Berger in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilfred Thome saved Kentland from getting behind. Wilfred Thome made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Cochran in the 63rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benny Boston during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lamoni booed when Kentland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benny Boston didn't get a good kick on the ball. Willard Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Wilfred Thome tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Willard Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lamoni's supporters rose to their feet, but Willard Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfred Thome breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute Allan Cochran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfred Thome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Garret Hanley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving James Downs. That made the score 1-2 in the 78 minute of play. Garret Hanley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Downs having to interfere. Jamal Coulter kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lamoni's Duncan Padilla got a free kick in the 84th minute. Wilfred Thome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willard Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute, Duncan Padilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. James Downs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garret Hanley in the 92nd minute of play. Wilfred Thome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Cochran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Lamoni lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
