Spectators: 6710 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Von Vera started the match with the kick off. Graig Pruett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cliff Dykes came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ben Neal could save by the left post. Ben Neal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graig Pruett in the 21st minute of play. If Graig Pruett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Graig Pruett in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ben Neal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Graig Pruett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ben Neal was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Ben Neal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Graig Pruett in the 44th minute. Josiah Ritter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Von Vera in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Graig Pruett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Cliff Dykes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graig Pruett in the 54th minute of play forced Mountain's goalkeeper Ben Neal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ron Broussard kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Cliff Dykes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Neal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mountain's Ben Neal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graig Pruett in the 59th minute of play. Ron Broussard's late challenge caught a Golden Hills AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ron Broussard helped the player get up and apologised. Ron Broussard kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Ben Neal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cliff Dykes went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Cliff Dykes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Federico Plummer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josiah Ritter having to interfere. Federico Plummer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Josiah Ritter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Federico Plummer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carl Laird during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mountain booed when Golden Hills AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Laird didn't get a good kick on the ball. Golden Hills AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
