After 17 played minutes San Bruno got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Mattson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Landon Bachman in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rueben Pena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rueben Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Landon Bachman, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Landon Bachman notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Big Stone Gap FC's Rueben Pena. Rueben Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 41 minutes into the match, San Bruno's goal looked a bit too open when Jamar Tinsley came free, but Darnell Brooks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Big Stone Gap FC's Rueben Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincenzo Hollis in the 46th minute of play. Rueben Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincenzo Hollis in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jamar Tinsley made a kick off. Big Stone Gap FC's Solomon Gee got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, San Bruno's goal looked a bit too open when Solomon Gee came free, but Darnell Brooks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamar Tinsley in the 59th minute of play forced San Bruno's goalkeeper Darnell Brooks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rueben Pena made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Landon Bachman sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 88 minutes, Landon Bachman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Bruno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Landon Bachman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rueben Pena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Landon Bachman in the 94th minute. Ted Johns hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. San Bruno's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
