Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dirk Bowling kicked off to start the match. Alex Link received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Shayne Rowell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Alex Link managed to get in a good position for a shot. kayoflanham's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Link was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shayne Rowell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shelton Mooney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ray Li, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shelton Mooney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Li, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 28 minutes, Pedro Schneider mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the kayoflanham and the Ferriday AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to kayoflanham getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Pedro Schneider hit a great ball. Dirk Bowling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shayne Rowell having to interfere. Shayne Rowell made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Alex Link sent off a good shot on target. After 38 played minutes Ferriday AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Villanueva. Alex Link struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Shayne Rowell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for kayoflanham. If Evan Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Link could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Shayne Rowell made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ray Li to strike the kick off in the second half. When Ulysses Villanueva fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferriday AFC's protests and gave Ulysses Villanueva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, Ulysses Villanueva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to kayoflanham getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Evan Mendez hit a great ball. The Ferriday AFC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Ferriday AFC's Franklin Barber looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 58 minutes into the match, kayoflanham's goal looked a bit too open when Ray Li came free, but Shelton Mooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferriday AFC's Shayne Rowell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evan Mendez in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ferriday AFC's Ulysses Villanueva got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Woodrow Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferriday AFC's protests and gave Woodrow Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, one of Ferriday AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ferriday AFC. When Evan Mendez came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the kayoflanham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evan Mendez couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, kayoflanham's Shelton Mooney got control of the ball when Franklin Barber tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franklin Barber got free with Shelton Mooney in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
