After a rather tough play, Litchfield's Weston Anthony got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 53 played minutes, La Junta's Jacques Aviles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bernardo Phillips came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Junta reached it. When Kory Webb fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Litchfield's protests and gave Kory Webb a yellow card for diving instead. Kory Webb hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Will Benitez in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Asher Gustafson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Asher Gustafson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Weston Anthony, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Litchfield left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than La Junta.
