Spectators: 6230 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1230, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Warner Pritchard started the match with the kick off. Woody Connolly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Gomes having to interfere. Alfredo Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steve Seymour went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 8 played minutes orbit got a freekick which was hit by Woody Connolly. The supporters of orbit booed when Carolina Storm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernát Markos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Shannon Ramey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carolina Storm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave orbit the free kick. A collision led to Carolina Storm getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Shannon Ramey hit a great ball. Woody Connolly struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Alfredo Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for orbit. After a rather tough play, Carolina Storm's Timothy Godfrey got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Woody Connolly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 17 played minutes Carolina Storm got a freekick which was hit by Bernát Markos. In the 18th minute, Woody Connolly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes orbit got a freekick which was hit by Guy Velasco. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clayton McHugh during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Steve Seymour ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Gomes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 25th match minute, Carolina Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernát Markos to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Seymour in the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Steve Seymour ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Gomes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Vicente Weeks kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Warner Pritchard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaine Owen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Seymour in the 45th minute of play forced Carolina Storm's goalkeeper Alfredo Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Woody Connolly blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Gomes having to make a save. In the 52nd minute, Wilson Kitchen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in orbit's zone, Warner Pritchard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blaine Owen came out of the goal and Warner Pritchard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to orbit getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Darron Sloan hit a great ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carolina Storm's goalkeeper Alfredo Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Steve Seymour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Gomes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Woody Connolly took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Gomes. Alfredo Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Blaine Owen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Warner Pritchard in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by orbit's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Melvin Walter was slow to take the kick. During this time Carolina Storm's players had a chance to rest. If Steve Seymour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Warner Pritchard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to orbit getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Vicente Weeks hit a great ball. Woody Connolly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Gomes having to interfere. Alfredo Gomes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Steve Seymour showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 92 minute of play. Steve Seymour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Gomes having to interfere. The orbit players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
