Whitehall's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mehlville the free kick. Mervin Uribe hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute Kenneth Calderon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grady Estes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Mehlville's goal looked a bit too open when Abe Alvaro came free, but Kory Vance reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grady Estes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenneth Calderon in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Whitehall booed when Mehlville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allen Ochoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The goalkeeper, Kory Vance, was totally fooled by Whitehall's Rodrick Schmitz, who 21 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Kenneth Calderon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Grady Estes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grady Estes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Calderon in the 26th minute of play. Jordan Groves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mehlville's Kory Vance played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abe Alvaro in the 33rd minute of play. Abe Alvaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kory Vance read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Mehlville's Kory Vance proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Mehlville from getting a goal against them. Grady Estes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordan Groves, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kenneth Calderon to strike the kick off in the second half. Kory Vance took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abe Alvaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tyrese Tapia struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Kory Vance didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitehall. The audience was convinced that Abe Alvaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kory Vance was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. If Abe Alvaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Whitehall getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Domingo McClellan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allen Ochoa in the 80th minute of play forced Whitehall's goalkeeper Grady Estes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Whitehall's Grady Estes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth Calderon in the 83rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Grady Estes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 86 minutes into the match, Mehlville's goal looked a bit too open when Abe Alvaro came free, but Kory Vance reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Allen Ochoa during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rodrick Schmitz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kory Vance. Mehlville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Whitehall's Ricardo Ellis got a free kick in the 95th minute. Mehlville's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
