Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cedric Velez kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Monte Pepper dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joe Pritchard, 1-0. If Cedric Velez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cedric Velez in the 10th minute of play forced Lewiston AFC's goalkeeper Davis Conklin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joe Pritchard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Connors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Sugarmill Woods's Greg Orlinsky sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Davis Conklin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Monte Pepper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Cedric Velez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Lewiston AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Connors. In the 35th minute, Ned Pittman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lewiston AFC's Davis Conklin didn't even have to move. Davis Conklin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cedric Velez in the 37th minute of play. Davis Conklin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedric Velez, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Greg Orlinsky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonard Connors to strike the kick off in the second half. If Cedric Velez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Cedric Velez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sugarmill Woods's supporters rose to their feet, but Cedric Velez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davis Conklin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sugarmill Woods booed when Lewiston AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Connors didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Davis Conklin managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Sugarmill Woods's Greg Orlinsky fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 61 minutes into the match, Greg Orlinsky had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Davis Conklin. Lewiston AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Greg Orlinsky was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lewiston AFC! In the 70th match minute, Sugarmill Woods was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Call to maneuver through the defense. Leonard Connors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Pritchard having to interfere. Cedric Velez was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Sugarmill Woods's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Davis Conklin came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sugarmill Woods's Gilbert Call. But to his dismay, Gilbert Call quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. 89 minutes into the game, Greg Orlinsky cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Davis Conklin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Cedric Velez came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Sugarmill Woods fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cedric Velez couldn't finish the play. The Sugarmill Woods supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sugarmill Woods would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
