The tension between the Loveland and the Glendora players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 played minutes Loveland got a freekick which was hit by Shane Beach. When Byron Felder came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Glendora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Byron Felder couldn't finish the play. Santo Nickerson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Byron Felder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Nicholas Hoffman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Loveland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glendora the free kick. Nicholas Hoffman kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Loveland's zone, Byron Felder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Nickerson came out of the goal and Byron Felder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Greg Butler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Byron Felder struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Santo Nickerson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glendora. In the 41st minute Foster Mansfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Nickerson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Foster Mansfield came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Glendora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Foster Mansfield couldn't finish the play. Loveland's Santo Nickerson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Byron Felder in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodney Ray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Foster Mansfield notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Loveland's Santo Nickerson. Santo Nickerson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Glendora's Frankie Renteria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodney Ray in the 65th minute of play. Foster Mansfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Nickerson having to interfere. Byron Felder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilbert Coffey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Renteria having to interfere. Loveland's Santo Nickerson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Loveland from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Glendora could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Loveland throughout the match.
