Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Jermaine Loyd's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Brendan Kaplan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 6th minute Bronson Ross shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan Kaplan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jermaine Loyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bronson Ross's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendan Kaplan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Weston Watt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abdul Beatty was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to Eau Claire getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Reginald Porter hit a great ball. If Jermaine Loyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cheraw! Jude Arden placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Jude Arden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eau Claire's supporters rose to their feet, but Jude Arden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendan Kaplan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bronson Ross recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 40 played minutes Cheraw got a freekick which was hit by Quincy Childress. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Abdul Beatty was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Stan Petersen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stan Petersen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. 59 minutes into the match, Cheraw's goal looked a bit too open when Bronson Ross came free, but Brendan Kaplan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stan Petersen in the 66th minute of play forced Eau Claire's goalkeeper Abdul Beatty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Eau Claire's zone, Weston Watt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdul Beatty came out of the goal and Weston Watt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bronson Ross received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Brendan Kaplan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rdth minute of the game Stan Petersen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eau Claire's Abdul Beatty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abdul Beatty was a little too slow when Stan Petersen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 2-4. Weston Watt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Abdul Beatty made a huge save. Jermaine Loyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Brendan Kaplan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Eau Claire's Abdul Beatty got control of the ball when Weston Watt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chants of Cheraw echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Eau Claire had held the ball for most of the match.
