Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) North Marysville's Danny Roche started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Wiley Rose was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Festus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave North Marysville the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Festus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiley Rose to maneuver through the defense. Danny Roche got in the 9th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but William Zaragoza handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 16 minutes, Kerry Yu made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Festus FC's William Zaragoza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, North Marysville's Pete Figueroa got control of the ball when Dustin Maxwell tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Danny Roche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Roche scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of William Zaragoza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Festus FC's Pete Figueroa threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antony Arden, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 31st minute, Danny Roche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Danny Roche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Marysville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Roche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danny Roche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Danny Roche left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The North Marysville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The Festus FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. North Marysville were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antony Arden stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Arden in the 52nd minute of play forced North Marysville's goalkeeper Pete Figueroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. North Marysville's Kerry Yu got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Danny Roche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 minutes of play, Festus FC's Antony Arden made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pete Figueroa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Festus FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Danny Roche 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. In a very dangerous position, a player in North Marysville fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Antony Arden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Danny Roche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Zaragoza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pete Figueroa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antony Arden went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mel Blake during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Festus FC booed when North Marysville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mel Blake didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Zaragoza came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by North Marysville's Kerry Yu. But to his dismay, Kerry Yu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. William Zaragoza was a little too slow when Mel Blake got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 2-7. After a defensive mix-up in North Marysville's zone, Dustin Maxwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pete Figueroa came out of the goal and Dustin Maxwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded North Marysville left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Festus FC.
