Spectators: 7389 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 15) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bryant Fugate kicked off to start the match. Sidney Currie stood somewhat misplaced when Logan Toney came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 3 minute. When Carlos Barajas fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Southgate's protests and gave Carlos Barajas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Carlos Barajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Southgate's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adam Kendrick fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Logan Toney in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidney Currie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antony Conway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Logan Toney in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidney Currie saved Southgate from getting behind. Felipe Broussard kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Antony Conway fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fountain Valley AFC's protests and gave Antony Conway a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Rollins kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 26 minutes, Logan Toney made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Southgate's Sidney Currie tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rey Hanna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fountain Valley AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antony Conway was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidney Currie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 48 minutes into the match, Southgate's goal looked a bit too open when Logan Toney came free, but Sidney Currie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The Fountain Valley AFC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Fountain Valley AFC's Logan Toney looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Southgate's zone, Rey Hanna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Currie came out of the goal and Rey Hanna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Fountain Valley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bryant Fugate came free, but John Ernst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Forrest Britt hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Logan Toney scored 4-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sidney Currie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 67 played minutes Fountain Valley AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Simms. Carlos Barajas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for John Ernst. Fountain Valley AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Felipe Broussard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Southgate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fountain Valley AFC the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Southgate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Broussard to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Fountain Valley AFC's Antonello Di Giuseppe got a free kick in the 73rd minute. John Ernst was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bryant Fugate showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 74 minute of play. When Logan Toney came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Fountain Valley AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Logan Toney couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute, Rey Hanna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boyce Floyd kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Bryant Fugate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. John Ernst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Fountain Valley AFC's John Ernst got control of the ball when Jermaine Atkins tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute Logan Toney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Currie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Currie came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Fountain Valley AFC's Logan Toney. But to his dismay, Logan Toney quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Fountain Valley AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
