Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) Putney FC's Dean Aguilar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marc Clancy was out of position in the 2 minute of play, and Jessie Graham capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jessie Graham really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 5th match minute, Tabor City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waylon Eddy to maneuver through the defense. Putney FC's Marc Clancy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Putney FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Putney FC's A.J. Ivy got a free kick in the 11th minute. Dean Aguilar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sebastian Corcoran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Tabor City's goal looked a bit too open when Danial Blalock came free, but Sebastian Corcoran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Clancy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jessie Graham in the 24th minute of play. Waylon Eddy's late challenge caught a Putney FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waylon Eddy helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tabor City getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Waylon Eddy hit a great ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Danial Blalock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putney FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danial Blalock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dean Aguilar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Corcoran having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Putney FC got a freekick which was hit by Val Peralta. Thanks to some nice moves Silas Shipp could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Marc Clancy however easily saved by the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jessie Graham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Putney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Shipp came free, but Marc Clancy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silas Shipp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Danial Blalock came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Putney FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danial Blalock couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, Dean Aguilar notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Tabor City's Sebastian Corcoran. Sebastian Corcoran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Danial Blalock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Clancy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jessie Graham in the 80th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Jessie Graham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabor City's supporters rose to their feet, but Jessie Graham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marc Clancy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danial Blalock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Corcoran having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Putney FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
