Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Troy Trotter in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Willard Womack prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeff Ambrose charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeff Ambrose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Caney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Ambrose to maneuver through the defense. Mohammed McIntyre struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Jonas Dailey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ellsworth North FC. Mohammed McIntyres short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Jonas Dailey to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jeff Ambrose was shown his second yellow card after 16 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 17th match minute, Caney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Ambrose to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Mohammed McIntyre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonas Dailey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Farr in the 24th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mohammed McIntyre got free with Jonas Dailey in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mohammed McIntyre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caney's Jonas Dailey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Caney from getting a goal against them. Caney's Jonas Dailey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Bolden in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes in the game, Mohammed McIntyre fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jonas Dailey having to interfere. Salvador Bolden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Caney getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Adam Lutz hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salvador Bolden to make the kick off. Jonas Dailey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvador Bolden's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Troy Trotter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willard Womack having to interfere. Jonas Dailey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammed McIntyre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mohammed McIntyre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Caney's Damon Sams got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Mohammed McIntyre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Dailey having to interfere. After some careless play in the Caney defense, Salvador Bolden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonas Dailey. The Caney fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonas Dailey should have stopped the shot. After 69 minutes, Mervin Vann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caney and the Ellsworth North FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Mervin Vann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammed McIntyre in the 75th minute of play forced Caney's goalkeeper Jonas Dailey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mohammed McIntyre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Dailey having to interfere. After some careless play in the Caney defense, Salvador Bolden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonas Dailey. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
