After 37 played minutes Middleville got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Ruff. Anthony Russell succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tristan Sheridan during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Doug Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Doug Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Anthony Russell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johnny Hooks was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the Bound Brook players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
