Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tristan Sheridan got the match started through his kick off. If Korey Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emmitt Booth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bronson Bowling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. J.C. Mendoza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Emmitt Booth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Conneaut's supporters rose to their feet, but Emmitt Booth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Hooks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 19 played minutes, Middleville's Gordon Young shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper J.C. Mendoza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Middleville reached it. The supporters of Conneaut booed when Middleville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doug Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnny Hooks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmitt Booth in the 24th minute of play. J.C. Mendoza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bronson Bowling's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. J.C. Mendoza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Sheridan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Theilacker during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Conneaut booed when Middleville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Theilacker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnny Hooks made an important save on a dangerous shot by Korey Vincent in the 35th minute. J.C. Mendoza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristan Sheridan in the 37th minute of play. Korey Vincent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emmitt Booth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Hooks having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Conneaut's Emmitt Booth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Johnny Hooks. That made the score 1-0 after 48 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
In the 60thth minute of the game Emmitt Booth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Middleville's Johnny Hooks was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Middleville's Tristan Sheridan got a free kick in the 61st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Korey Vincent in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johnny Hooks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Leland Belanger fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Conneaut's protests and gave Leland Belanger a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Conneaut's Leland Belanger got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Korey Vincent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Hooks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Emmitt Booth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johnny Hooks didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emmitt Booth went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute, Korey Vincent got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Middleville's goal looked a bit too open when Emmitt Booth came free, but Johnny Hooks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Korey Vincent came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Conneaut fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Korey Vincent couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Conneaut players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
