Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Willis Dozier took the kick off in the first half of the match. Pedro Pelletier was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. 2 minutes into the game, one of Medford Lakes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Wolf Lake. Antonio Talbot stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leif Harmon. 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Wolf Lake's goalkeeper Marlin Barker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andy Hines. The supporters of Medford Lakes booed when Wolf Lake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Talbot didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Junior Bonilla in the 18th minute really tested Marlin Barker's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Leif Harmon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willis Dozier in the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute Matt Meredith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Harmon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andy Hines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willis Dozier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Leif Harmon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leif Harmon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willis Dozier's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Willis Dozier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Harmon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matt Meredith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Leif Harmon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 minutes of play, Wolf Lake's Willis Dozier made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leif Harmon was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andy Hines to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Medford Lakes's Leif Harmon got control of the ball when Leland Bergman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th minute, Andy Hines ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marlin Barker was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. If Andy Hines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benny Britton hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Andy Hines struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Marlin Barker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medford Lakes. After 62 minutes, Lionel McIntyre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Medford Lakes and the Wolf Lake players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lionel McIntyre kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Matt Meredith got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Medford Lakes's goalkeeper Leif Harmon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Andy Hines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matt Meredith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Matt Meredith came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Wolf Lake fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matt Meredith couldn't finish the play. In the 81stth minute of the game Willis Dozier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Medford Lakes's Leif Harmon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marlin Barker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Hines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute Andy Hines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marlin Barker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 minutes of play, Wolf Lake's Willis Dozier made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leif Harmon was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 89 minutes, Matt Meredith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolf Lake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matt Meredith was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 90 minutes, Levi Keenan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Medford Lakes and the Wolf Lake players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes Medford Lakes got a freekick which was hit by Levi Keenan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willis Dozier in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leif Harmon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 93 in the game by Matt Meredith from a close distance when the talented Leif Harmon managed to make a qualified save. Medford Lakes's players were relieved. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Wolf Lake eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
