Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 19 minutes into the game, Oren Bush was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laughlin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Houston FC the free kick. Norbert Swenson hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Heriberto Guidry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Noel Keene tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chase Odom made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Johnson Cullen sent off a good shot on target. After 46 minutes, Benjamin Canales mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the South Houston FC and the Laughlin players grew even worse after the yellow card. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heriberto Guidry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, South Houston FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milo Cano to maneuver through the defense. After 55 played minutes South Houston FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremiah Carrillo. In the 56th minute of the match Dudley Dean shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chase Odom showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Morgan Kendrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Houston FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Morgan Kendrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 59 played minutes Laughlin got a freekick which was hit by Dudley Dean. When South Houston FC's Heriberto Guidry in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Laughlin's goalie prevented a goal. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Laughlin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jeremiah Carrillo was slow to take the kick. During this time South Houston FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on South Houston FC's corner Jeremiah Carrillo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Noel Keene quite easily take care of the ball. In the 63rd minute, South Houston FC's Heriberto Guidry ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Noel Keene. Noel Keene yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Heriberto Guidry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Heriberto Guidry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the game, South Houston FC's Morgan Kendrick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noel Keene made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colin Duncan in the 80th minute of play forced South Houston FC's goalkeeper Chase Odom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Laughlin's zone, Jeremiah Carrillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Keene came out of the goal and Jeremiah Carrillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Morgan Kendrick hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. South Houston FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
