Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jarrett Paige got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Sulphur's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Acuna came free, but Desmond Coats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarrett Paige received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Desmond Coats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sulphur's zone, Bart Acuna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desmond Coats came out of the goal and Bart Acuna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Bart Acuna notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sulphur's Desmond Coats. Desmond Coats was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sulphur's goalkeeper Desmond Coats, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Desmond Coats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Acuna, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some careless play in the Ballville FC defense, Antonio Burns kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kip Tobin. The Ballville FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kip Tobin should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Jarrett Paige's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Desmond Coats was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Hightower made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Ballville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarrett Paige to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarrett Paige in the 53rd minute of play forced Sulphur's goalkeeper Desmond Coats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sulphur booed when Ballville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guy Ruff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bart Acuna struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Desmond Coats didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballville FC.
