John Trimble was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Raul Nicholson kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Homer Dill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. John Trimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trinidad Betts who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Rodrigo Hightower when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Johnny Harding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Homer Dill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. John Trimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trinidad Betts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Rodrigo Hightower tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Alpena got a freekick which was hit by Lewis Morse. After 33 played minutes Toba Fc got a freekick which was hit by Geoffrey Rosas. Clark Luna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Alpena were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Clark Luna made the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Hightower stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johnny Harding's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. When Lane Hooks fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toba Fc's protests and gave Lane Hooks a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Toba Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lane Hooks to maneuver through the defense. Homer Dill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Clark Luna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of John Trimble. The goal made the score 0-2. After 66 minutes of play Toba Fc's Lane Hooks was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Toba Fc's Lane Hooks got a free kick in the 67th minute. Homer Dill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Clark Luna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clark Luna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 76 played minutes Toba Fc got a freekick which was hit by Raul Nicholson. In the 86th minute Clark Luna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Trimble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trinidad Betts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rodrigo Hightower tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Hightower showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Harding, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Geoffrey Rosas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trinidad Betts struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Rodrigo Hightower didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toba Fc. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Alpena eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
